Google Classroom Letter to Parents

Using Google Classroom allows you and your child to have access to course work at any time through the Internet and is accessible online and through any mobile devices with Internet capabilities—including iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Additionally, the use of Classroom will help keep students and parents informed of due dates, assignments and grades. Classroom is also useful to check on work missed when absent and to ask questions about assignments.

 

Google Classroom is used as an educational tool will be used strictly for educational purposes. Guidelines for using Google Classroom are as follows:

           

• Students will be required to use appropriate grammar instead of texting language.

• The site will be used to discuss school-related content only. 

 

The teachers have created accounts for parents so they can see the work that has been assigned to your son or daughter. You will be able to see copies of all resources, but you will not have access to the actual files your son or daughter are using unless they share their own logon information with you.

 

The logon information for Google Classroom parent accounts is below: 

 

The password for all parent accounts is “normanhoward”.

The username is always the following format: “parent[grade level]@normanhoward.info”.

 

An example for the parent of an 8th grade student trying to log onto the Google Classroom parent account is shown below:

 

Username: parent8@normanhoward.info

Password: normanhoward

 

Please refrain from altering any settings or changing passwords while logged into the Google Classroom parent accounts.
