Joseph Martino is the Chief Executive Officer of Education Success Foundation, also serving as Board Secretary and Executive Director of the Norman Howard School, and EnCompass: Resources for Learning. He advances the Foundation's mission and vision to foster opportunities for student success and implements the organization’s strategy by aligning public and non-profit partners and leveraging resources. During his tenure, the Foundation's reach has expanded to 2,400 students. Joseph is resolute that Education Success Foundation create measureable impact in each student’s life, that students and families have high-quality choices for education, and believes that collaboration is a key pathway to positive change in the community.

An entrepreneurial collaborator, Joseph is leading and supporting diverse public-private partnerships to  improve outcomes for vulnerable youths and families.  Prior to joining Education Success Foundation, Joseph held several positions for Monroe County including Deputy Commissioner of Human Services. As Deputy Commissioner, he was the chief operating officer of the department and he provided leadership, creativity, and support to multiple cross-community collaborations to improve results in human services and education.

Joseph holds several civic leadership positions within the community; he is a founding board member of Discovery Charter School, and on the boards of directors for Greater Rochester Summer Learning Association, and The Center for Urban Education Success. Outside of work he enjoys time with his wife and two children.
