After a bountiful harvest from our NHS garden, 11th & 12 grade Ecology class prepared an autumnal harvest meal! The students did a great job following recipes and utilizing kale, swiss chard, cucumbers, peppers, basil, potatoes, garlic, and 2 varieties of tomatoes from the garden out front. They made pesto pasta, swiss chard au gratin, fried green tomatoes, kale chips, homemade bread with garlic butter, and a garden salad with fixins’ and dressing.
