The Norman Howard School is like a family; adults and students genuinely care about each other, and success is celebrated no matter when or where it happens.

Mrs. Schrager's career as an educator spans decades, and the students she has encountered range in age from 3 to 18. She asserts that each age has its own unique gifts and challenges, but her most satisfying and rewarding experiences have occurred over the last 14 years here at the Norman Howard School. As a reading teacher she is grateful for the opportunity to witness, not only a growth in reading skills, but in independence and self-confidence. Her goal for her students is to develop an appreciation for books along with the skills to read them.

Mrs. Schrager holds Wilson Reading Certification Level 1 and 2 and is trained in Really Great Reading, RAVE-O, Lindamood Bell Visualize/Verbalize, LiPS Phonemic Awareness Training, Schools Attuned, and PAF.

In her free time, Mrs. Schrager can often be found with a book in hand and loves spending time with her family, hiking, and cooking.
